In 2021, the Museum of Typography in Chania announced it's 6th International Poster Design Contest. 628 artists from 68 countries took part. 2 METERS DISTANCE was among the 30 winning posters that were included in the annual exhibition of the museum.
THE PROJECT
During the pandemic, signs were placed on the floors, in order to avoid Covid-19 dispersal. For our protection we had to keep our distance. It profoundly affected our psychosynthesis, creating embarrassment in social contacts and a new reflex, the violation of an invisible limit. Now we are not sure if we should come closer and worry about putting someone - or ourselves - in danger. My purpose is to demonstrate the emotional distance, the psychological burden and the sense of limitation that three words enclose.
